Being a girl mom of 5, dog mom of 2, and cat mom of 1 is not easy in this Texas heat, y'all! After years of packing on the pounds I finally hit my breaking point and decided that I needed to hold myself accountable. I had success in the past with calorie counting and working out but, to be honest, there was no way that I would be able to sustain working out at the weight I was at. I was at my heaviest and needed to find a path that would allow me to be successful and motivate me to stay on it. 

After doing some research I came across the Keto diet. Sounded pretty simple: limit your carbs, up your fat, cut the sugar.  I looked up lists of allowed food and to my surprise I found that most of my daily foods were on the list. But no BREAD?! No SUGAR?! That was almost a deal breaker. Could I really give up the cakes, the cookies, the bread I loved? 

The first couple of days were very hard. I was so ready to throw in the towel. But I stuck with it and after 5 months I was 43 pounds lighter. Join me on my journey to my goal and all of the bumps along the way!
